Overview of the Role

Brane has the expertise and technology to dream big in an industry with massive, unlocked potential.  

Success in this role is leveraging your in-depth experience as a CFO and Brane’s risk-management mindset & practice to actively recommend best path forward financial strategies for our aggressive growth that consistently exceeds highest standards of a public financial institution.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall financial strategy aligned with Brane’s aggressive growth objectives, including measures that support the direction; 
  • Oversee financial operations of subsidiaries and foreign operations; 
  • Report financial results and forecasting to internal and external stakeholders;  
  • Review, approve and report on all industry requirements, including but not limited to the OSC, CSA, SEC; 
  • Lead M&A financial due diligence; 
  • Actively participate in acquisition negotiations; 
  • Develop strategic tax plans; 
  • Create and maintain an extensive network of strategic partnerships, including but not limited to investors, investment bankers, and banking; 
  • Engage and partner with internal cross-functional stakeholders; 
  • Manage company budgeting and transaction processing; 
  • Plan, build and lead a high-performing finance team;  
  • Lead and act as a mentor across a diverse finance organization. 

Must Haves

  • Experienced public company finance leader with strong analytical and creative leadership abilities;  
  • Proven track record in analyzing opportunities in bold new industries, preferably in the fintech or blockchain space; 
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing various company financing methods and can speak to the public company rules with authority; 
  • Known for having stellar interpersonal skills; 
  • Passion and experience partnering with the business in a fast-paced, “roll-up-your-sleeves”, tech start-up! 

Nice to Haves

  • Blockchain knowledge/industry experience.
