Overview of the Role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage Brane’s security program;
  • Recommend improvements that align with overall corporate objectives;
  • Continuously improve capability to identify, respond, and rectify issues;
  • Maintain reporting on security program, including but not limited to status updates and incident reporting;
  • Ensure compliance and adheres to all applicable regulatory standards and requirements;
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to help drive a culture of security;
  • Manage vendor relationships;
  • Plan and manage multiple projects;
  • Conduct internal compliance audits as required;
  • Lead (including managing all internal stakeholders) all aspects of external information security audits, including but not limited to: ISO 27001, ISO 27017, NIST and SOC2;
  • Create and lead appropriate action plans to remedy deficiencies;
  • Other security initiatives as required.

Must Haves

  • Proven experience successfully managing security programs (such as ISO 27001/27017, NIST, and SOC2) in a public company;
  • CISSP, CISM or other info-sec certification;
  • Expert at handling incidents;
  • Advanced technical knowledge;
  • Known for having stellar interpersonal skills;
  • Passion  and experience partnering with the business in a fast-paced, “roll-up-your-sleeves”, tech start-up!

Nice to Haves

  • Fintech industry experience; 
  • Blockchain/crypto knowledge/industry experience.
